Setting Your State
Getting a good mindset is really freaking hard.
So much so that there is an entire cottage industry of people writing books focused on getting your morale up.
And then there are people charging thousands of dollars for you to have the privilege of getting to see them speak from a stage.
In the Community, we took a much different tack.
We did one simple thing. We set each other's state.
We focused on putting each other's mindset in a place where we felt like we could do anything. And we needed every bit of it.
There were beautiful women out there that we were going to meet who were so conditioned by having to brutally reject guys who would say or do anything to get with them -- guys who, in fact, were manipulative fakes. Fake compliments, plying women with drinks, agreeing with everything she says.
F-A-K-E.
We were going to be the rare guys who were 100% authentic and were looking for the rare women who could appreciate guys like us.
We weren't born this way. It was a lot of hard work, but in the end, we knew the guys we were -- and the guys we used to be.
But still we needed to bulletproof out mindset.
In sales, it's exactly the same.
The key to being it 100% authentic when you're starting to implement the lessons you're learning learn, you need to learn how to set your state, regardless of whether or not you've got a group of friends pumping you up. (I never did in my sales job.)
