NETWORKING SERIES #2: How to get people to actually care about your "Elevator Speech"
Most people roll their eyes at your Elevator Speech.
Become memorable and a "Must Buy" brand to get willing buyers, credit card in hand.
So I went to another one of the typical networking events and this week the topic was...wait for it:
Elevator Speeches.
This guy spent the better part of an hour trying to help people craft a 15 second statement about your and your business that was supposed to magically make people want to jump up and pull their credit card out.
Before we go any further, ask yourself this question:
Do you really believe people would do that???
Would you ever do that???
Me neither.
The problem isn't that Elevator Speeches don't work. The problem is that this approach is going about it completely wrong.
Elevator Speeches can be hugely powerful. We used them in The Community and I used them in my sales job when I started using my newfound Cheat Code.
But if you want them to work, you have to do something completely different than the traditional Elevator Speech.
